The origins of Estudio Carvallo date back to 1885 when the law firm was founded by Ernesto Hübner in Valparaiso. In 1903, it was joined by Eduardo Carvallo and was re-named Estudio Carvallo.

Since 1985 the headquarters of Estudio Carvallo are located in Santiago, although we still have our traditional Valparaiso office.

Initially, our professional experience was focused on the fields of Maritime Law and Insurance, but it has expanded to different other areas, where we provide comprehensive advice to our clients in all the legal aspects of their decision-making process.

In addition, we have developed a professional relationship with lawyers from other Chilean cities as well as with important law firms abroad. For these same purposes, in May 2003, we formalized -with renowned firms in the continent- the ADVOC LATIN AMERICA association, which is the regional section of the International Network of Independent Law Firms ADVOC.

Finally, Estudio Carvallo has the most advanced computing and electronic communication systems which enable us to provide on-line information and services to our clients in the fields of Cargo and Maritime Law, Air and Land Transportation, Aviation, Corporate Law, Commercial Law and International Transactions, Labor Law, Dispute Resolution and Litigation, Insurance and Reinsurance.
